Born in Mannheim, Jan-Paul Reinke completed his conducting studies (orchestral and opera conducting) in 2016 with Prof. Michael Luig and Prof. Stephan Wehr at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. Various master classes including with Michael Luig, Klaus Eisenmann, Klaus Arp, Alexander Rumpf, as well as numerous assistants rounded off his musical training.

From 2013 to 2015 he was assistant to Prof. Stephan Wehr and directed opera performances of "Drei One-Acts" by Ernst Krenek and "L'elisir d'amore" by Gaetano Donizetti. Numerous world premieres by young composers took place under his direction.

As part of the German-Brazilian year 2014 in Cologne, he conducted German premieres of various orchestral works by Eduard G. Alvares and Paulo Alvares.

In 2013 he received a scholarship from the Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation.

Jan-Paul Reinke was conductor of the Bonn-Röttgen Chamber Orchestra for several years, the Sinfonietta104 (Cologne) played from 2011 to 2013
and again under his leadership in 2014. Various concerts and projects have taken him to the university orchestras in Cologne and Stuttgart, the Niederrheinische Sinfoniker, the Bergische Symphoniker, the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra and the Philharmonie Südwestfalen to the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester, where he is a regular guest conductor.

Concert tours to several European countries and to Australia accompany his career so far.

For two seasons (2014/15 and 15/16) Jan-Paul Reinke worked as a répétiteur and conductor at Theater Krefeld / Mönchengladbach as part of his membership in the Niederrhein Opera Studio. In 2017 he was given a teaching position for orchestral conducting at the Musikhochschule Freiburg, and since March 2018 he has been the conductor of the Stamitz Orchestra Mannheim (SOM).

Jan-Paul Reinke is co-founder and musical director of CoGNiMUS Collektiv e.V., Cologne. Since 2016 he has been the conductor of the Mannheim Youth Symphony Orchestra (JSOM).

In 2019 he is Artistic Director of the European Youth Orchestra Academy, which takes place in cooperation with the music school.
